A few years from now it won’t matter what your house looked like or how far behind you were in the laundry; what will matter is that you’ll remember holding, playing with and rocking baby Zoie.

Get use to eating cold meals and the fact that all your needs and wants come last. Zoie’s wants and needs will come before both of you.

Before i was a mom… I never learned the words to a lullaby. I never thought about immunizations, i have never been puked on, pooped on, drooled on, chewed on, or peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple little grin. I never sat up for hours watching a baby sleep. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when i couldn’t stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that i could love someone so much. I never knew i would love being a mom. Before i was a mom… I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside of my body.

You have great examples to follow so do the very best you know how and you will be ok. Just remember “Mom always said she hoped you would have a child just like YOU.”

Well how can I top Teri’s beautiful words?
I would say that for ALL the advice you will be getting from anyone and everyone you meet, just nod your head and smile and then do what YOU feel is best for your baby (unless of course you really need help).
My little sister said that they were NEVER going to have their baby sleep with them because it was just too dangerous, but after hearing Caitlyn scream in her crib that very first night she now sleeps with them in their bed everynight.

I agree with Tanya - just smile and listen - pick out the things that feel right to you and always do what you feel in your heart.

Patience, Patience, Patience. Don’t pray for it, it will just come in time…
Have lots of fun, this is your chance to really act like a kid and no one will say: Grow up! I don’t ever want to grow up… I agree with follow your heart, it won’t steer you wrong and if all else fails, call mom… Love yah…

My advise to Katie and Grady:
Read all the baby books that you can
Then throw them away
Love Zoie, and take care of her by following your hearts!

WHO EVER SAYS THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT MUST NOT BE A PARENT. SO BE PREPARED TO LOSE YOUR HEART TO A LOVE THAT YOU WILL NEVER FULLY BE ABLE TO EXPRESS. AND THROUGH ALL THE WAKEFULL NIGHTS AND STRESSFULL DAYS TO REMEMBER YOU WANTED THIS! LOL BUT IT IS WORTH IT!!!!

Just never say, “My child will never do that or I’ll never allow that, because it will come back and bite you in the butt!
