Zoie 37 Weeks

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

6 lbs 11 oz! Wow she is growing a lot! Surprise, surprise I had another ultra sound today. I didn’t know so I didn’t bring my DVD so sorry I dont have a video to share this week. I am dilated to a 2 and my blood pressure was great, actually fantastic! Zoie was kickin a ton and her heart beat was very healthy. We pretty much get to sum the little ’scare’ to just a bad week as we are healthy as can be and looking for a great delivery soon! I do have this wonderful rash that is all over my body that keeps me itching 24/7 that wont go away till I deliver. Doc says he thinks my gallbladder might be acting up but nothing to worry about. He did okay me to take some sleeping pills so I can at least get some sleep with the annoyance of the rash. Next week if she hasn’t came on her own he says we can induce so I dont have to suffer from the itchy scratchies any more. This is something Grady and I can talk about and decide if we want to do.

We are getting so excited for little Zoie to come, every day just waiting and waiting. Chicago and Daisie are anxiously waiting as well as they know a change is about to happen and they have a hard time leaving my side right now!

Zoie 36 Weeks

Monday, September 21st, 2009

We had another ultrasound today and I can handle tons more days like today! Zoie’s heart rate is back up, my blood pressure is back down to normal (well a little high but nothing to worry about) and our little Zoie got her first A+ today! This ultrasound she got graded and got an 8 our of 8 score - taking after her daddy with her A+’s :) She is also taking after her mommy and got her first picture today with her tongue sticking out! I was so proud of her… taking right after me (sorry Mambie… you might just have to put up with tongue pictures from her too!)

Zoie’s Baby BBQ

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Last night was fun and interesting! We had a BBQ at the house for Zoie and mom had a baby shower via webcam for me at her house at the same time! Their comments were “This was the most unique shower they had ever attended!” Christine put the basketball in her tummy and padded those boobs on up and was my stand in. It was hilarious watching her on the webcam and I hear it was even better in person! Thanks Christine for making everything so much fun… Miss you tons! The webcam party was worth all the effort, but not sure if we will do it again - maybe just one-on-one webcam chats when Zoie gets here so she can meet her family, even if its through the computer for now.

We have truly been blessed with some great new friends here in Florida and cant express to them how much they mean to us and how they have changed our life for the better being here. Being so far away from our family hasn’t been easy on us, however they make it tons easier and when we move back we will miss them tons just like we do our family. Im so glad that many of you could make it over and that everyone had a great time; and we missed those that couldn’t make it! Though of course I didn’t get to participate in the bubblegum vodka - I can see that was a hit for the party and late night enjoyment! It was great to meet some guys from Grady’s school that I have heard so much about and had not got to meet yet. Zoie got completely spoiled with tons of gifts. I dont think there is anything else that we need between what everyone sent, brought and opened at moms. BIG HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE for the gifts, they make life less stressful on me trying to get things we need. Its been a great relief knowing that she has everything (and more!) that she needs. She is coming into a great world of people that love her and cant wait to meet her.

I have to thank Grady and Mogli tons for cleaning the house (they did a great job!) and thanks to them again this morning and Mike and Jake for cleaning it again.. Everyone has really gone out of their way to help with things while I get to rest and take care of me and Zoie and that really means so much to me.

Zoie 35 Weeks

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Our little Zoie is going to look just like daddy with her chubby little cheeks and I think she has his nose too! (yippee!) She weighs 5.11 lbs right now. If she is delivered on time and grows regular they say she will be around 7.5 to 7.75 lbs when born.

As for me I had really high blood pressure yesterday so they put me in the hospital to monitor me but then let me go home. I have some more tests and see the Dr again on Wednesday. Everything should be good - just probably need to rest more (didn’t know I could!). I have officially moved my office to my bed as of today so hopefully that will help!

We are excited for the baby BBQ this weekend - sounds like I get to enjoy it either in my reclining lawn chair or the couch probably, but am really excited to have our friends over and everyone on the webcam!
